You don’t have anger issues.
If you ever find yourself angry,
it’s only because on some level you prefer anger.
Because you create your emotions.
You’re in full charge of them.
And the only reason you’d choose anger is because
you believe your only other options are worse.
Fear or anger? Of course you’d choose anger.
Shame or anger? Of course you’d choose anger.
But that’s not the full menu.
You have a whole spectrum of emotions available.
When I’m given the choice between fear and anger,
Why not pride.
When it’s between shame and anger,
I choose pride.
But ultimately, it’s not about replacing anger with pride.
It’s about love.
Sometimes those higher emotions feel hard to reach —
and that’s okay.
Start with whatever you can access.
So ask yourself — what’s your preference?
Who do you choose to be?
that’s what meditation is all about —
remembering that you create your emotions,
and you choose your state.
